Freddy Beningo Delacruz Jr
Here is another episode of “What the heck is happening at Fort Hood”, and I’m not coming down on the base, it’s just wild how much crime happens centered around this base. But anyways.. This story is about the unsolved murder of Freddy Beningo Delacruz Jr..
Freddy was a 23 year old Specialist in the Army stationed at Fort Hood. He’s from Vidalia, Georgia, and he joined the Army in November of 2017. Freddy was cavalry scout which is basically where you gather all kinds of information to report back to your command from weather to terrain, navigation, making sure there’s appropriate ammo on the vehicles, etc.. In April of 2018 he was assigned the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood. He was called an “outstanding trooper” by Lt. Col. Steven Jackowski.
March 14th, 2020 in the early morning hours, the Killeen Police Department received a call about gunshots in the area. This was approximately 1:00 in the morning, but when they couldn’t locate the source of where the gunshots came from, they obviously had to kind of give up and do something else. But 40 minutes later, they end up back in the same place for a call about a water leak... Which.. Why are the police being called about a water leak, right? But there was water leaking into another apartment... which, to me, would indicate something isn’t right in that other apartment because if you’re home.. You should notice that water is coming out of everywhere.
So, this is around 1:40 in the morning at the Summerlyn Apartment complex.
When officers arrived, they discovered that the door to the apartment was unlocked, but when they called out to make contact... nobody answered.
This gave them the go ahead to get into the apartment to make sure if someone was there they were okay... what police discovered?
Not one, not two, but three... dead.... bodies...
The victims were found to be 23 year old Freddy Delacruz Jr, 23 year old Army Veteran Shaquan Allred, and 22 year old Asia Cline.
All three of them were killed by gunshot wounds.
The Army CID is working alongside the Killeen Police Department during this investigation.
The Killeen Police Department is asking if anyone has any information that could help them please call Crime Stoppers at: 254-526-TIPS or 8477.
